Top Resources if You Are Facing an Immediate Crisis

If you are feeling unsafe and are in need of a place to turn to for support, these community resources can help.

1. mulberry – Ontario wide

Access a wide range of resources related to Gender Based Violence. Answer a few questions to get a tailored list of services to help you in your particular circumstance.

2. Birchway Niagara – Niagara Region

Get help creating a personalized safety plan, access their 24 hour confidential support line, contact them for shelter services. Confidential 24-Hour Support Line 905-356-5800 (Call or Text) – Niagara Falls, Fort Erie, Welland, Wainfleet, Port Colborne, Pelham and surrounding areas.

3. Gillian’s Place – Niagara Region

Provides shelter, offers free legal advice to those experiencing inter partner violence, counselling services, resources and many more supports, including a help line – Call or text our 24/7 support line to speak with a compassionate counsellor: 905.684.8331*  *please call if you do not receive a response to your text.

4. Luke’s Place – Durham Region*

Provides family law legal services for women who have experienced abuse. Also provide training (some free) and information about inter-partner violence and how to advocate for changes to the legal system. *Anyone in Ontario can access their Legal Clinic.
